Event: Refugee Hackathon
Project: Haven
Role: UI/UX, Art Direction

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Hack to Help Refugees presented by Lincoln Initiative and Amplify 4 Good is a 48-hour challenge where technologists and designers get together and build creative solutions that help organizations serving refugees from the local
to international level.

THE CHALLENGE

How can we help improve the lives of 10 million refugees by 2018?

Unlike migrants in search of economic opportunities,
who can access extensive friend and family networks to navigate language or cultural barriers, new refugee
populations usually lack this type of community resource upon arrival in America or wherever they settle.

SOLUTION

A responsive application that is simple to use and accessible for refugees to connect with the right people and resources to re-establish their lives and communities.
