PROJECT OVERVIEW
Code Across is a civic hacking event inspiring residents everywhere to get actively involved in their communities. The goal of Code Across is to activate urbanists, civic hackers, government staff, developers, and designers to make their city better.
THE CHALLENGE
There is a “brain waste” and under-employment among Atlanta’s skilled and professional foreign-born community. Information on the process of transfering degrees and/or initiating the professional re-certification process within specific industries is non-existent and a major barrier for skilled immigrants.
SOLUTION
Infographic online platform with step-by-step instructions on helping foreign-born residents initiate and complete industry re-certification and state licensing credentials.
